Today we are allowed to sleep longer because we are going to attend Sunday mass at 9 a.m. in Dodoma.
After a quick breakfast, we set off and drive to the parish and celebrate the service in Swahili together with around 200 other people. Although we hardly understand anything, the solemn atmosphere, especially enhanced by the lively choir, creates a previously unknown atmosphere that we all enjoy.
After the service, the priest invites us into the vicarage, where we chat for a while and enjoy a few refreshments and (at Manuel's special request :D) the remains of a wedding cake.
As usual, we have lunch in town and, as usual, it is plentiful and incredibly tasty.
We actually wanted to go swimming after lunch, but the rain ruins our plans and instead we sit under the garden tents where we have eaten and watch as it pours down like buckets around us.
When the rain stops, we head back to school, where we spend the rest of the afternoon watching movies, talking and playing games.
In the evening, Mdm. Elisa has a special idea: we go back into town to listen to a live band in a bar. We get to try the local cider and enjoy the evening by chatting on our cell phones (talking was hardly possible due to the volume), walking through the bar and even dancing a bit at the end.
We finally have to leave around midnight, drive back to school through the night and finally fall into our beds completely exhausted. We probably won't be able to attend the fair tomorrow :)
