Today we got up at 6 a.m., had breakfast and were then given a tour of the school by our guest students. First, we introduced ourselves to the assembled students and teachers and walked through the classes. We were greeted with lots of laughter and cheerfulness by the classmates of our exchange partners.
In addition to the classrooms, we were also able to visit the large football pitch, the library, and the canteen, including the kitchen.

The pupils and teachers are allocated to five houses. There are Africa, Nile, Victoria, Mikumi and Kilimanjaro. Every year, competitions are held between the houses over the course of a month, in which the students and teachers compete against each other in all kinds of disciplines: football, volleyball, basketball, design, singing, dancing and much more.
After the sightseeing tour, we travelled to the University of Dodoma, short “UDOM”. We were given a tour of the huge campus, which was founded in 2007. The various departments are spread across an entire valley and are attended by around 35000 students, making it the largest university in Tanzania. The large lecture theater, which dates back to the socialist era in Tanzania, was particularly impressive.

After saying goodbye to our guides, we drove into town, had lunch there and finally returned to the high school in the late afternoon. We spent the time until dinner listening to music and chatting, and after dinner we ended another eventful day.
